 Learning Together...

Our entire team just attended the CR Update Course 2011 in Bellevue, Washington.  This intensive one day lecture helps ensure we're using the techniques and materials the current research supports best.  Taught by Dr. Gordon Christensen, the best known dental educator in the world, we also enjoyed a private  lunch with him because our office has been selected for over 10 years to serve as field evaluators for the non-profit research institution he supports.  What a great experience to help us stay ahead in our field!

Another Digital Year...

We're entering our 3rd year of using digital impressions from Itero for creating models of your teeth for crowns and bridges.  As the first office in north central Washington to use this system, and after completing over 1000 units, we're experienced in creating exceptional results with a full spectrum of materials.  Itero eliminates the messy tray impressions, is more accurate in the final results, and allows you to choose the type of material we place in your mouth.  This can include the unmatched strength of gold to the natural beauty of full porcelain.

The Smile Project in Mexico...

In 2010 a team from our practice joined a student hygiene group from Victoria, BC for the Smile Project in San Pancho, Mexico.  Using mobile dental equipment and supplies we carried down, we provided basic dental care for dozens of people alongside the students providing hygiene services.  Many of these people had never received dental care and presented with extensive need, as the local community dental clinic had bare shelves.  We left materials to help them, and recently provided them with more.  We came home thankful for all we enjoy in our country and hopeful we can return in the future.

Scholarship Offered in 2011...

We're offering a $500 scholarship to a graduate from Omak High School for the 5th year in 2011.  The Grillo Family Dentistry Most Improved Student Award is intended to recognize a student who demonstrated the most growth during their high school career, evaluated by their academic record, references, and response to written questions.  "It's not how you started, it's how you finished that matters" is the philosophy of this scholarship.  If you know a student who fits this criteria, please let them know.
